At First Baptist Church Hatfield, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to any of our worship services.
Our church is located at 4802 Hwy. 71 S, directly off the main road coming through Hatfield, and parking is located in front of and beside the facility. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
We are a casual bunch. Some men wear ties, and some women wear dresses, but most of us dress casually and comfortably, knowing that the Lord looks not at what we wear but rather at our hearts. Friendly church members will gladly welcome you as you enter and will be happy to answer any questions you may have or help you find your way around our facility.
If you come for Sunday school, we have a variety of class offerings for all ages. If you need nursery care, we will happily direct you to the nursery and the loving members who volunteer their time to care for our children.
Our Sunday morning worship experience is structured but casual. We celebrate a diversity of musical styles because we find value in both the newer expressions of worship and the timeless traditional songs of our faith. We receive leadership from both a praise team and a choir. Our pastor preaches in an expository fashion, exploring the truth of the Word of God in ways that are meaningful and relevant to people today.
Sunday evening is very informal as we spend time praising the Lord for His goodness and His blessings before spending time studying the Word of God. Wednesday evening prayer meeting is likewise very casual as we consider corporate prayer requests before spending time seeking the Lord in prayer. After prayer, we again delve into the Word of God.
We hope you will join us for any and all of these opportunities. The Word of God is central to what we do, but we find strength in our fellowship together, and we believe you, too, will find yourself encouraged and strengthened by your time spent in worship with us.
